Mrs. Hindenes has been teaching and working with children for over 23 years, and at St. Timothy’s since 2002. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, she has lived in the San Jose area since the age of 3 months. She and her husband Gregg met in Junior High School and have 4 children, Daniel, Jeffrey, Andy and Emily (Andy and Emily attended St. Tim’s), and two grand daughters Lily and Taylor (Taylor is currently attending St. Tim’s). In her spare time Chris loves to ride bikes, garden, cook and spend time with the family. Chris says, “I have the best job here at St. Tim’s – being able to teach the love of reading to the children from Pre-2’s through 5th grade”.

Greatest joy: “Working in a Christian school where I can teach the children all about the wonders and love of our Lord Jesus Christ and all that he has done for us. I can hug the children and we can salute both the American and Christian Flags each day with pride. We get to integrate learning about our faith and practicing this faith in every aspect of teaching here at St. Tim’s. We show the children how to carry out this faith in friendship, forgiveness and compassion for others and in doing so we are helping to build a generation of well educated, strong and loving Christian people. What could be better!”

Mrs. Williams describes herself as a pianist with a love for composing. While at St. Tim’s, she has composed the music, written the script and directed “The Christmas Story” and “Behind the Scenes” for the students in addition to writing two chapel presentations. In addition to her duties at St. Tim’s, Mrs. Williams facilitated and taught K-5 Music Program at Willow Glen Elementary for 5 years. She has also directed the choir there since 2005. She has directed/composed for a high school church choir for 8 years in Los Gatos and composed/played music for numerous weddings.

MY PHILOSOPHY: Music is an integral part of education and learning. In addition, it can be a wonderful tool in building self esteem. My goal has always been to teach students the basics of music, but more importantly to “sing from the heart.” It is such a joy to be able to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas with our students and their families and to see them sing His praises all through the year.

Favorite Bible verse: “O sing unto the Lord a new song; sing unto the Lord all the earth.” Psalm 96:1
